A few weeks ago, several people that I met via ComedySportz workshops decided to form a sketch group because we're all interested in writing and performing.
And thus Beware The Gnomes was born.
While we were in the early stages of planning for getting some sketches written, I noticed an Improvised Film Festival (held in Australia) was about to launch a 30 hour competition. With our improv training, I figured it was something cool we could do as one of our first projects as a group.
The challenge was held on Saturday 30th June and Sunday July 1st, 2012. We shot our footage on Saturday 30 June 2012.
Beware The Gnomes entered two films into the 2012 Improvised Film Festival 30hr Instant Film competition. Entries had to be about relationships and needed to be completely created within 30 hours. Both Beware The Gnomes films received commendations.
The first film shot was: Dr Moore's Relationships For Beginners.
The second film shot was: Morning Break, Lunch Break, Heartbreak.
