A Weighty Issue

And so, it has been four weeks since I last checked in with a weight loss blog post. If you recall, (and it's okay if you don't, there wasn't a quiz or anything - but there might be next time) at the start of the weight loss experiment I was the heaviest that I've ever been, and in the first week that followed I lost 4lbs. That takes us up to the first blog post that I wrote here.

Since then I have tried, the first week afer the 4lb loss there was a blip and a gain of 1lb. The next two weeks resulted in me losing 2lb each week, so that by Friday 4th February 2011, I'd lost 7lbs overall.

Which was good.

In the week leading up to 4th February I was ill and off work for a couple of days, so when I got back to work that Friday, I weighed myself and wasn't surprised that I had lost weight. But I feared that last loss of two pounds may have been a false reading, as I hadn't eaten much while I was off. I hoped it wouldn't be, but only getting weighed last Friday would tell me. I hadn't done much in the last two weeks, being ill the first week and then still not feeling up to doing anything last week.

I stepped on the scales.

The result: +3lb.

Oops.

So basically this blog post has been a little bit of a waste. I contemplated waiting a week to post this to see if I have managed to lose any of the extra baggage when I get weighed on Friday, but in the end I just thought "sod it."

So join me in a month's time to see if I have lost any more of my bulk.

  1. Keep at it, and take it easy on yourself when you’ve been ill!!! It takes ages to see differences, weigh in once a week at the same time each week, use the 4th week as your official result. Just keep going. I am in the same postition, *pokes her chubby tummy*

keep up the bloggy goodness too
